University undergrad and grad students (including 2016 graduates). can apply for accreditation giving free access to all of the events in the industry programme happening throughout the festival. Students also get access to the festival’s Video Library but student accreditation does not grant access to film screenings. You will need to show your Student ID when you collect the pass. Student accreditation costs £30 and gives you free access to:

  • All workshops, masterclasses and panel events running throughout the festival
  • All VR events at Digital Catapult during the festival
  • Festival Video Library (located in Festival Hub throughout the festival dates)
  • Into Industry Bootcamp (daily industry masterclasses for students and recent graduates)

The deadline for accreditation is Monday 28 August 2017.

Open City Documentary Festival showcases the best in contemporary non-fiction film-camera lensmaking – shorts and feature length documentary films from anywhere in the world.

Submissions are now open for the seventh edition of Open City Documentary Festival.  If you submit your film by Monday 19 December 2016 you can take advantage of the early bird rate.
