You need excellent planning, communication and multi-tasking skills to work in events management. You need to be able to think on your feet, troubleshoot problems as they arise and make decisions quickly. You need good attention to detail, be prepared to muck in when the going gets tough, dealing with any issues that arise ‘on the day’ and be willing to help with any tasks if there’s an unexpected shortfall of hands to the wheel.
